Dog Parvo Treatments
If your dog does contract the parvo virus, you just need to get to your vet as soon as possible.
Sadly, other than that, there is not much you can do. Dehydration and malnutrition are the biggest dangers in Dog Parvo Symptoms, so that is what your vet will do. The dogs will normally put on an IV of potassium, sugar, and vitamins. You could do this yourself at home, but I personally would not recommend it.
Sometimes, the vet could have your dog ingest anti-nausea medicine to prevent any more vomiting.
The IV is reduced once the puppy has shown great improvement. At this time, he or she could also give your dog antibiotics to keep any other infections away.
There are many unconventional treatments as well, but since these are not proven, I will not go into any detail about them.
